Ana Jarén (Sevilla, 1985) began her professional career in the fashion communication sector, in Madrid, where she is currently based. Being surrounded by designers, stylists and magazines ignited her most creative side to begin her work as an illustrator.
With time, illustration became her way of life, her professional focus. She spent several years living in the UK and Belgium, incorporating all the stimuli from those countries to shape her personal style.
In her work, Ana captures the beauty of life, people and daily activities, always with a sharp eye for small details.
The world of feelings and emotions has a preferencial place in her work, introducing characters in evocative contexts, suggesting stories to be completed by the personal experiences of the viewer.
Ana Jarén works is made mainly by hand, mixing techniques as markers, pencils or acrylics and she enjoys all of them as much as she did as a child. Her preferred medium is paper, although her work is also found in murals and other formats.
During her career she has collaborated with clients such as The Washington Post, Vogue, Netflix, FNAC, Lexus, Penguin Random House and many others.
