Published by Lunwerg, the book moves across different periods and places through ten biographies, asking who gets to define women’s mental state and how social judgement can shape a life. The stories consider mental health alongside patriarchal oppression, violence and artistic creation, approaching each subject through a contemporary, human perspective rather than as a clinical or academic study.
