Mujeres de Letras brought original hand-painted illustrations by Ana Jarén from Escritoras and Almudena together in an exhibition at the Museo Municipal de Albacete.

The exhibition connects two publishing projects centred on Spanish women writers and presents the original artworks outside the printed page. Portraits, literary references and narrative scenes can be seen as physical pieces, making visible the hand-made process behind Ana’s book illustration work and creating a broader visual conversation between the writers represented in both volumes.
