A large-format healthcare illustration by Ana Jarén for Boehringer Ingelheim, created around the heart, connected organs and the importance of early diagnosis.

Presented at Hospital Virgen de la Victoria in Málaga in June 2025, the central XL artwork draws on the Japanese idea of an invisible red thread that connects people and, here, the body’s organs. The heart acts as the visual protagonist, while peonies reference healing and flower buds suggest the value of detecting disease early. The commission uses a warm, symbolic language to communicate a complex health message in an accessible way.
