Ana Jarén illustrates Love Lessons by Alise Morales, an inclusive rethinking of love languages for romantic relationships, friendship, family and everyday life.

Published by Abrams, the 160-page guide revisits the familiar idea of love languages as something more flexible than a fixed system, exploring how care, respect and affection can be expressed differently depending on the person, relationship and moment. Ana’s maximalist, colourful illustrations bring this open approach to life through diverse characters and everyday situations, accompanying explanatory text, reflections and quizzes without turning the book into a conventional self-help manual. The project has also travelled through international editions: a German-language edition, translated by Kathrin Köller and published by Knesebeck in 2026, retains Ana’s illustrations while adapting the text for a new readership.
