Original Artwork Despite Everything - Ana Jarén

A red-haired woman moves forward carrying an armful of soft pink and pastel flowers while a grey umbrella above her looks battered, bent and almost turned inside out. The beautiful bouquet and failing umbrella pull in opposite directions, creating a visual metaphor for keeping hold of something tender while the weather — literal or otherwise — refuses to cooperate.

  • Why you’ll like it

Because Despite Everything manages to talk about resilience without losing humour or softness. The broken umbrella acknowledges that things are going wrong; the enormous bouquet insists there is still beauty worth carrying. That tension gives the original an emotional meaning without making it heavy-handed.
