Original Artwork Woman in bed - Ana Jarén

A woman stretches across a striped bed beneath a green-and-white canopy, her long hair spilling dramatically over the edge toward the floor. Red-and-white curtains frame the city window, patterned cushions pile up around her, and a cup of tea waits on a tiny stool beside the bed, turning an awkward upside-down pose into a luxurious refusal to get up.

  • Why you’ll like it

Because Woman in bed captures the pleasure of staying put with more humour than glamour. The upside-down pose, canopy, striped textiles and waiting cup of tea make the original feel indulgent and slightly theatrical — a very recognisable image for anyone who considers bed a place worth lingering in.
