Ana Jarén creates commissioned illustrations for books and publishing projects, building colourful visual worlds around stories, ideas and characters through detailed hand-drawn imagery.
Her work spans illustrated fiction and nonfiction, literary classics, biographies, activity and colouring books, combining narrative scenes, portraits, objects and environments to create a visual language that can develop across an entire publication.

Illustration for books and publishing

Ana works with publishers, editors and authors on projects where illustration plays an important role throughout the book. Her approach considers the tone of the text, its characters and audience, as well as the visual rhythm created when illustrations appear across multiple pages.

Published projects include books with Penguin Random House / Lumen, Abrams, Editorial Alma, Lunwerg, LOM ART, Tinta Blanca and other publishers in Spain and internationally.
